French Charm vs Hunan Colour! The Final of 2017 French Song Contest Ended at the Yellow Crane Tower!

On March 25, 2017, Central China Semi-Final and China Grand Final of the 22nd French Song Contest commenced at millennia-old Yellow Crane Tower. Consul-General of France in Wuhan Mr. Philippe Martinet, Commissioner Eric Molay, Kamei Itsuei from CASIO Group and several French experts made their appearances. Director of Administrative Division of Yellow Crane Tower Park Dong Chong, too, attended the pompous event. This time players were dozens of French aficionados from different regions.

Prior to the event, Eric Molay mentioned in his speech this was the second arrival of French songs at the tower. Eric hoped these songs could bring China and France closer to each other. In the semi-final, Nanchang’s Liao Yuan defeated other 5 players and got shortlisted for the grand final.

Just 10 minutes later, the China Grand Final started and 6 players initiated an upsurge of singing romantic French songs. Finally, Liu Yifan from Shanghai obtained the champion of the grand final. Philippe Martinet and Dong Chong walked onstage to confer awards on all winners.

As the champion appeared, this contest came to a successful end.
